The entire crochet summer gnome collection was inspired by all the stuff we associate with summer. Such as the ice cream, watermelon, sea and beaches.
We have already shared the Ice cream gnome, the Watermelon gnome, the Cupcake gnome and it is time for the beach gnome.
This gnome will make you smile and remember the funny moments of your vacation, and bring smile whenever you see it.
Also, this one is one of the most customizable gnome we have ever made.
How to customize your Beach gnome?
In my opinion, this crochet gnome is one of the most customizable ones. Why?
Because you have endless options to make this gnome unique. How?
First, you can start by changing the hair color and creating a mini you. Also, you can play with the body and add a bathing suit. All you need to do is crochet mini circles and attach them with some chains, then wrap them around the body, and tadah you have your bikini.

Beach gnome pattern notes
The pattern is written in US crochet terms!
We will crochet the beach girl in one piece and afterward, we will sew the hands, the hair, and the nose.
I recently switched to a thinner yarn as I ran out of colors of my worsted-weight yarn. Moreover, it is hard to find colors of that weight in our country.
So for this pattern, I used sport-weight cotton yarn. My choice was Catania by Schachenmayr as they have so many colors to choose from.
I know that it may be hard to find the same yarn so here are a few substitutes that you can use – Stylecraft DK, Paintbox Yarns Simply DK, Catona by Scheepjes, Cotton 8/4 by Hobbii.
Also, have you heard of yarnsub.com? It is a great site where you can check for substitutes for different yarns.
