Pattern notes:
The pattern is written in US crochet terms.
The pattern is worked in one piece. We start from the base and work it up to the hat.
The pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Do not join your rounds.
If you use a different weight of yarn, keep in mind that your gnome will turn out bigger or smaller.
If you are crocheting loosely, use a smaller hook so your work will be tighter and the stuffing won’t be visible.
When stuffing the body- stuff it well so that it will stay in shape, but don’t overdo it. You can still insert cardboard in the base to make it flat but it will stay still without it as well.

How to sew your crochet gnome together?
First, start by sewing the beard onto the gnome. Sew it right below the brim of your hat.
Second, place and sew the nose on top of the beard. Place it in the upper center.
Third, Sew the hands on both sides. Leave 4 stitches between the beard and the hands.
Lastly, take the stem and sew it on top of the head. It is up to you if you will add an applique onto the stem or not.
