Tips and advice :
1. Read the pattern carefully first and look at the picture . 2. If you don’t want to weave ends in you can use self –striped yarn . 3. If you don’t want to have visible seam you can just cut the yarn in every change and start with the new color by attaching it directly at the 3rd loop of the hdc st of previous rd.

Leave long tale after each part for sewing. Use a tapestry needle and white string or yarn and make the sparkle of the eye .
I made it as a straight line as you see in the pictures. If you wish you can make the eyes without the grey part as in the picture bellow.
If you make them only with white and black use the pattern of the grey part for the white and the white part pattern for the black part.
Nose– make it with orange yarn . Use tapestry needle and just make it as shown in the picture.
Feet ( 2 pieces ) — > Make them with orange yarn.
Insert the hook in the st, pull a loop and ch1, then make 1 picot, and sl.st in same st, * 1picot, 1sl.st in same st * rep 2 times , End .
Blocking – depending on the yarn weight and the fiber you may need to block your square. You will need small pins and a block like children play mat or you can pin them like me on the carpet. After you pin the square spill warm water with spray bottle and leave it to dry.
Sew the eyes and your rainbow owl granny square is done… Have a happy crochet …
