Adding a Spooky Touch to Your Decor

Halloween is all about creating a spooky atmosphere. Adding a Spider Halloween gnome to your decorations is the perfect way to achieve this.

For maximum effect, place your Spider Halloween gnome in a prominent position in your home, such as a mantelpiece, coffee table, or window sill.

Pairing a Spider Halloween gnome with other spooky decor, like spider webs, bats, or eerie lighting, will help create a haunting Halloween display.

Crochet Spider Halloween gnome pattern

When I started the design of this Halloween gnome I wanted to keep it simple. The crochet spider is still easy and even if you are a beginner you can manage it.

The only tricky part is placing the spider onto the hat and forming the legs before attaching the spider.

We will crochet the gnome’s body in one piece. Later we will add the crochet spider!

Even better! Do you know that you can use the crochet eyeball as a keychain or a bag charm for Halloween?

Crochet Spider Gnome pattern notes

The pattern is worked in one piece. We start from the hat and continue on the body.

We will work in continuous rounds. It means that you don’t need to join your rounds at the end of each round.

For this pattern, I used sport-weight yarn. If you use a different weight of yarn, your gnome will turn out bigger or smaller.

I suggest you use a fine/sport or DK weight yarn with a 2.25-2.5mm hook to achieve the size.

When stuffing the body- stuff it well, so it will stay in shape, but don’t overdo it.
