If you’re looking for a quick and fun summer crochet project, you’re going to love this adorable Strawberry Gnome! This cheerful little gnome is the June gnome in my seasonal gnome collection—and it has a special inspiration behind it.
My daughter absolutely loves strawberries, so when it came time to design the gnome for June, I knew exactly what I had to do. This sweet strawberry-themed gnome is a tribute to her favourite fruit and to the joy that summer brings.

About the Strawberry Gnome
This gnome is bursting with fruity charm! The hat is bright red with white stitch lines to mimic strawberry seeds, while the green brim represents the leafy top of the fruit. The body is worked in a sunny yellow for a fresh and vibrant look.
The gnome is crocheted top-down, beginning with the hat. The body flows seamlessly from the hat, with only the beard, nose, and hands sewn on afterward. It’s a low-sew, beginner-friendly project that’s perfect for a quick summer make.

Strawberry gnome pattern notes
The pattern is written in US crochet terms.
We will crochet the gnome in one piece which means we will start from the hat and continue on the body.
I used sport weight 100% cotton yarn. I suggest you use a similar yarn. If you cannot find it you can use fine weight or DK weight yarn with a smaller hook such as 2.5mm or 3mm.
Here is a great online site where you can check for a substitute yarn for the one I am using- Yarnsub.com
Some yarns that I would recommend: are Stylecraft Special DK, Paintbox Simply DK, and Hobbii Cotton 8/4.
The final measurement is 22cm/ 8.6 inches
Materials you’ll need:

– crochet hook size 3.5mm
– Poly fiber fill for stuffing
– tapestry needle
